In west Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days… Wait, wait, wait… That’s not right. I was raised in Texas just north of Houston and I lived there most of my life, but I eventually moved to Tennessee. I am a 37 year old Christian and believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
Some people would call me a nerd (to the third), but I am very laid back and happy with my life. I enjoy going places that are peaceful like lakes, mountains, beaches, etc. During the summer I enjoy riding my motorcycle, kayaking, hiking, and having fun with my friends. I usually do things alone since my schedule is different than most.
I am somewhat of an introvert, but I am getting much better about being out of my shell and talking to people. I am terrible at small talk, but overly amazing at listening to people as long as I am interested. I enjoy typing long messages and texting, but I do not like being on the phone. I also stopped watching television when I was fourteen and I didn’t start watching television again until I was in my thirties (yes, seriously), but I am not completely in the dark though thanks to Netflix.
Riding my motorcycle is something I really enjoy and sometimes I tend to ride fast just to feel alive. I’m the type of person that will stand in the rain just to feel it run down my skin. I love music (all kinds) and I would totally be a rock star if I knew that nobody would judge me. I also enjoy going camping and taking my kayak with me to be out on the water.
I have a degree in computer programming as well as multiple computer certifications that are not easy to achieve. I am always trying to learn new things and I am open to trying almost anything. I tend to only read technical manuals and books that will teach a skill so I can keep expanding my knowledge.
My career is a priority in my life and I am very awesome at what I do. I am a senior systems administrator for a world wide data center specializing in enterprise level infrastructure and cloud computing. I work remotely (from home) and its very nice and relaxing for me. I’ve been working with servers and web stuff for over half my life and my job doesn’t feel like work since I enjoy it.
When I watch movies I enjoy comedies and movies that have a strong message. I do not have any kids, but I do like to watch animated movies like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (a personal favorite). I also enjoy watching psychological thrillers and the occasional drama.
